The field operation starts with the pegging of seismic lines; traces of exploration with the application of standard opto-electronic or GPS land surveying methods. The lines are marked by temporary wooden pegs numbered and painted at their (upper) ends in every 20-50 meters. During the pegging clearing may be necessary, to cut out or alteration of the vegetation obstructing seeing through.
